Parangtritis is located 27 km south of Yogyakarta and easily accessible by public transportation that operate up to 17:00pm as well as private vehicles. The afternoon before sunset is the best time to visit this most popular beach in Yogyakarta. But if you arrive sooner, it will not hurt for going up to Tebing Gembirawati (Gembirawati cliffs) behind this beach. Not many people know that on the east side of this clifft, hidden temple ruins. Unlike the other temples located in a mountainous area, Gembirawati Temple is only a few hundred meters from the edge of Parangtritis Beach. To reach this temple, we can pass road uphill near the Hotel Queen of the South and then go down the path to the west for approximately 100 meters. Faintly roar of the ferocious waves of the southern sea could be heard from this temple.
Parangtritis Beach is very closely related to the legend of Ratu Kidul (Queen of South). Many Javanese people believe that Parangtritis Beach is the gate of Ratu Kidul’s magical kingdom who controls the southern sea. Hotel Queen of the South is a luxurious resort that is named according to this the legend. Unfortunately the resort is now rarely, whereas it used to have a view that could make us breathless.

A Romantic Sunset in Parangtritis

When the sun is leaning to the west and the weather is sunny, it is time for having fun. Although visitors are prohibited from swimming, Parangtritis Beach is not lack of the means for having fun. On the beach there is ATVs (All-terrain Vehicle) rental, the tariff is around Rp. 50.000 to 100.000 per half hour. Enter its gear and then release the clutch while pulling the gas. Brrooom, four-wheeled all-terrain motorcycle will be raced bringing you across the sand beach dune.
Well, ATVs may only be suitable for those who are more adventurous. Another option is the carriage. Walking along the sand surface that is smoothly swept by the wave with two-wheeled horse-drawn carriage is no less enjoyable. The carriage will bring us to the end of the east coast of Parangtritis Beach where the cluster of rocks that is so beautiful , so it is often used as the spot of a pre-wedding photo shoot. The dim twilight and golden shade of the sun on the water surface more raise a romantic atmosphere.



Parangtritis Beach also offers the excitement for those who travel with family. Kite-flying with your child is also enjoyable. The strong sea breeze is very helpful to make a kite flying high, even if you've never played a kite.



Still reluctant for going home even though the sun had set? Soon, some roasted corn sellers will hold a mat on the beach where we can hang out there until late at night. Still do not want to go home? Mount Bromo

Bromo is one of the amazing mountain view at East Java, Indonesia. Actually bromo located at Pasuruan, East Java. There are two way to reach bromo, from Probololinggo, and the other one from Malang.

 
Herein I will share the detail route from probolinggo. Firstly and easily access is from Surabaya-state city of East java-. Surabaya has international airport either bus terminal. If you travel by plane, you need go to second bus terminal called Bungur Asih buy taxi. from bungus asih termonal you should continue to Probolonggo bus terminal. There are many bus travel to Probolinggo. After we come to bus terminal of Probolingggo, u just need to continue your travelling by mini bus (the origin people called it taxi – not actually taxi). I suggest you to reach probolinggo before 5.00pm, cause the ‘taxi’ is not available at the evening. This ‘taxi’ will guide you to cemoro lawang –the last stop -. You can get sleep right here at the hotel or by rent the house of the community. I suggest you to book ‘hardtop’ while you take dinner. The ‘hardtop’ will guide you at the early morning at 4.00am to climb to bukit penanjakan – the view point of bromo, what an un forgettable moment -. After that, you will guide to kawah bromo itself. You need to hike to kawah bromo, to see how bromo produce the cloud. And you can continue your vacation to the last destination around bromo called padang savanna.

Sanur is the original Bali seaside resort that has developed naturally over the years due to its physical and cultural characteristics and beauty. Located just 25 minutes from the international airport, 15 minutes from the Kuta area, 10 minutes to Denpasar and with excellent by pass access to the rest of the island Sanur is a very well positioned venue. The locals of Sanur have been interested in Balinese spirituality and magic for generations and as with the rest of east Bali are particularly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. With this said it is surprising how un-crowded and peaceful Sanur is, there are many activities to try on the beach as well as beach resorts and bars and restaurants but this is all spread along a long coastline creating a secluded feel where the action goes unnoticed to the sunbathers and loungers upon unspoiled beaches that maintain the traditional Balinese feel.





Sanur beach is a long stretch of beautiful white sands lined with palms that shade dreamy footpaths market stalls and relaxed beach cafes. Along the beach are a number of traditional groins complete with traditional Balinese Bale (raised shaded day sleeping and relaxing areas). Most are no longer used although a few are sometimes occupied by the odd fisherman who fish from these waters. The waters of Sanur are protected by a long string of offshore reefs creating large, warm shallow, safe lagoons that are perfectly clear and excellent for swimming, snorkeling and a whole array of water sports. Surfers will be pleased to know that the reefs around Sanur produce some of the best waves in the world in the right conditions although they can be very shallow and dangerous at low tides. There are also plenty of more consistent spots around the area for surfing.



Other activities in Sanur are include sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing and cycling although the most popular activity by far is relaxing in the amazing beach resort’s beach access, pools and at cafes and on the sun loungers and sands. Accommodation in Sanur is of a mid to high range standard offering many dazzling beach resorts, international hotels and villas. There are some budget places but not in the abundance of Kuta, for budget accommodation look slightly outside Sanur in neighboring towns. This is due to Sanur being more of a family or couples holiday area, there are no big clubs and loud youths in Sanur, instead there are more classy relaxed bars and pub style bars that can be hard to find in Bali, food and drink is generally very good here and prices are not at all extortionate.

Sanur’s positioning also makes for an excellent luxury base from which to explore the rest of the island, particularly the southern Bukit, east, Ubud and the mountains. Further up the east coast are many sleepy fishing villages that are far less visited then south Bali and offer a real taste of Bali.



Sanur in round up is the perfect spot for many people who seek a family holiday or a more sophisticated beach holiday for couples or friends. Sanur is in the mid price range and is far cheaper than Nusa Dua but offers a more refined atmosphere than Kuta. Sanur’s positioning, activities and beautiful safe beaches all create the perfect spot where every family member’s needs are catered for in an area that still retains tranquil serenity. Borobudur Temple

Borobudur, the Biggest Buddhist Temple in the Ninth Century

Who does not know Borobudur? This Buddhist temple has 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha effigies in its complex. Millions of people are eager to visit this building as one of the World Wonder Heritages. It is not surprising since architecturally and functionally, as the place for Buddhists to say their prayer, Borobudur is attractive.

Borobudur was built by King Samaratungga, one of the kings of Old Mataram Kingdom, the descendant of Sailendra dynasty. Based on Kayumwungan inscription, an Indonesian named Hudaya Kandahjaya revealed that Borobudur was a place for praying that was completed to be built on 26 May 824, almost one hundred years from the time the construction was begun. The name of Borobudur, as some people say, means a mountain having terraces (budhara), while other says that Borobudur means monastery on the high place.

Borobudur is constructed as a ten-terraces building. The height before being renovated was 42 meters and 34.5 meters after the renovation because the lowest level was used as supporting base. The first six terraces are in square form, two upper terraces are in circular form, and on top of them is the terrace where Buddha statue is located facing westward. Each terrace symbolizes the stage of human life. In line with of Buddha Mahayana, anyone who intends to reach the level of Buddha's must go through each of those life stages.

The base of Borobudur, called Kamadhatu, symbolizes human being that are still bound by lust. The upper four stories are called Rupadhatu symbolizing human beings that have set themselves free from lust but are still bound to appearance and shape. On this terrace, Buddha effigies are placed in open space; while the other upper three terraces where Buddha effigies are confined in domes with wholes are called Arupadhatu, symbolizing human beings that have been free from lust, appearance and shape. The top part that is called Arupa symbolizes nirvana, where Buddha is residing.

Each terrace has beautiful relief panels showing how skillful the sculptors were. In order to understand the sequence of the stories on the relief panels, you have to walk clockwise from the entrance of the temple. The relief panels tell the legendary story of Ramayana. Besides, there are relief panels describing the condition of the society by that time; for example, relief of farmers' activity reflecting the advance of agriculture system and relief of sailing boat representing the advance of navigation in Bergotta (Semarang).

A question about Borobudur that is still unanswered by far is how the condition around the temple was at the beginning of its foundation and why at the time of it's finding the temple was buried. Some hypotheses claim that Borobudur in its initial foundation was surrounded by swamps and it was buried because of Merapi explosion. It was based on Kalkutta inscription with the writing 'Amawa' that means sea of milk. The Sanskrit word was used to describe the occurrence of disaster. The sea of milk was then translated into Merapi lava. Some others say that Borobudur was buried by cold lava of Merapi Mountain.

With the existing greatness and mystery, it makes sense if many people put Borobudur in their agenda as a place worth visiting in their lives. Besides enjoying the temple, you may take a walk around the surrounding villages such as Karanganyar and Wanurejo. Komodo Island  is a very precise keyword. This of course strongly support the promotion of The Komodo National Park. how exactly the Komodo National Park? this review. The Komodo National Park is a national park in Indonesia located within the Lesser Sunda Islands in the border region between the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara. The park includes the three larger islands Komodo, Padar and Rincah, and 26 smaller ones,with a total area of 1,733 km² (603 km² of it land).  In 1991 the national park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.The park comprises a coastal section of western Flores, the three larger islands of Komodo. 1. Also known as Monas (Monumen Nasional). Located at the center of Taman Medan Merdeka (Medan Merdeka Square), Monas is the landmark of Jakarta and also the center where people usually gather for different purposes, such as sports, relaxing or recreation. This monument, symbolizing the nation's independence. At the top of Monas there is a replica of flame coated with 35 kg of gold. An elevator rides to the top of the monuments and from its viewing platform visitors can get a bird's eye view of Jakarta. The basement houses a museum depicting the nation's history.

Bandung is the capital city of West Java Province, about 180 km from Jakarta and can be reached by plane (about 25 mins) or train (3-4 hours). Bandung also known for its cuisine and athmosphere, where you can taste fantastic dishes (local or international) in a cozy and relaxing athmosphere, with a view of Bandung's mountainous surroundings. The indigenous people of Bandung is Sundanese, they speak Sundanese besides Indonesian. The Sundanese are very polite, soft speaking and friendly to visitors coming to their city. West Java is very rich of arts and culture, such as Angklung (traditional music intruments from bamboo), Jaipongan (traditional dance) and Wayang Golek (traditional puppet show).

Located about 768 m above sea level and surrounded by mountains, Bandung has a cool temperature ranging 23°C - 24°C with humidity about 70 % and average rainfall 1.814 mm/year. Temperatures in Lembang or other highlands in Bandung could be below the average temperature, so be sure to bring sweater or coat when you are travelling to Bandung.

 
Since there are no international flights to Bandung's Husein Sastranegara Airport, you can choose either by bus, private car or train. If you take bus from selected bus station in Jakarta (Bekasi, Pulo Gadung, Lebak Bulus, Kampung Rambutan), it will take for about 4-5 hours depending on the traffic jams. If you prefer travelling by train, you can choose Parahyangan (business and executive class) or Argo Gede (executive class only) from Gambir Railway Station in Jakarta. The train operates every hour from Bandung to Jakarta and vice versa (For train schedules to Bandung, click here!). When you are travelling by rented car, be sure you know the routes to Bandung, you can take Puncak, Purwakarta or Subang routes. If you don't know the routes, be sure to take someone who understands the route well with you.

1. Tangkuban Perahu's (Tangkuban=upside down, Perahu= boat) name comes because it looks like an upside down boat from a distance. The 2.076 m volcanic mountain is 29 km north of Bandung and has 10 craters, some of them are Ratu Crater, Upas, Baru Crater,Domas Crater dan Jurig Crater. These craters were formed because of the eruptions of Tangkuban Perahu volcanic mountain in 1829,1864,1887, 1910,1926, dan 1929.

6. The centre of shoe production in Bandung. You can choose various models, or design your own at reasonably cheap price. The quality of the shoes produced in Cibaduyut is quite good compared to the branded shoes.
7. Saung Angklung is famous for its traditional performances such as Angklung and Wayang Golek, available every morning and afternoon. Many tourists coming to Bandung would not want to miss a chance to visit Saung Angklung Mang Udjo, since they could learn and play the unique Angklung instrument there.

Pasir Putih beach

 
 
Pasir Putih beach is located in the south part of the City of Bandar Lampung City, about 20 kilometers from Bandar Lampung Sumatra acrossTrans street.

Across the White Sands beach, shady trees are planted to cover the tourists after they feel like getting enough sun from walking down the beach. The water is clean and fresh to bath and play in, and the white sand gives peace to the tourists. This place is perfect for holiday spending. White Sands beach is one of the tourism objects in Bandar Lampung for domestic and foreign tourists. For the sake of it, the cleanness of the place is preserved.
